Steps towards implementation

United Kingdom has a National Health and Environment Action Plan (NEHAP) to implement commitments on children’s environment and health.

A scoping study is being carried out examining to what extent the United Kingdom is currently addressing children’s environment and health issues as identified in the CEHAPE Regional Priority Goals and Action Plan. This is being looked at nationally, within devolved administrations (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), regionally and at a local level.

Based on the information collated in this study the additional work the United Kingdom would have to undertake to effectively address all the priorities in CEHAPE will be identified.

Visit the WHO website. It can help you find out more about what your government has to say about its activities for children’s environment and health. For information and views from NGOs, stay on these pages.
