Steps towards implementation

The National Board of Health and Welfare has been assigned the task to develop a Swedish CEHAP. A midterm report will be presented on October 1, 2006, and the final report will be submitted on March 31, 2007.

There are two key areas in the development of a Swedish CEHAP:
- The first is to collect available information, statistics and scientific evidence of value for the CEHAP.
- The second key area is to ensure broad participation from key actors - both generalists and specialists - including representatives from regional and local levels.

The work with NEHAPE is incorporated in the Environmental quality objectives. This is to make sure that the implementation of the NEHAPE will be successful in all different areas. The work with the Environmental Quality Objectives includes continuous cooperation between several parties such as ministries, departments, authorities, municipalities, NGOs etc.
