Steps towards implementation

Germany has a National and Health Action Plan (NEHAP).

With its Environment and Health Action Programme (APUG), Germany has established a dynamic process of inter-ministerial cooperation in the field of environment and health.

The Action Programme aims to strengthen the links between environment and health protection in order to offer better protection of human health against adverse environmental impacts. Since 2002 there has been a specific focus on children.

Visit the WHO website. It can help you find out more about what your government has to say about its activities for children’s environment and health. For information and views from NGOs, stay on these pages.
