World Health Youth (WHY) Communication Network on environment and health

WHO/Europe, with the assistance of World Health Communication Associates (WHCA), is supporting the creation of a new network for young journalists working on environment and health issues. A workshop will be held in October in Madrid for selected journalists from this network, and a WHO media award will be given in 2009.

The key objective of the World Health Youth (WHY) Communication Network on environment and health is to catalyze the involvement of young journalists from European countries in the Environment and Health process, this way developing capacity, enhancing quality and quantity of coverage and building sustainable communications across the European Region. Young journalists (18-28 years old) are invited to join this project.

You can find more information on the WHO/Europe website.
