European Environment and Health Committee new members met in Bonn, 25-26 October 2007

The new members of the European Environment and Health Committee (EEHC) met in Bonn on 25-26 October 2007. After the Vienna Inter Ministerial Review in June 2007, the EEHC was renewed, with representatives from Armenia, Belgium and France leaving the Committee, and Cyprus, The Netherlands, Estonia and 3 new EECCA countries joining: Kyrgystan, Moldova and Uzbekistan.

The main focus on the meeting was on the follow-up of the Vienna IMR and on the preparation of a workplan for the EEHC for the period 2007-2009 towards the Fifth Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health that will be held in Italy in 2009.

The Health & Environment Alliance sits on the Committee as a representative of the health NGO community.
