Title of the project: Hot Spot Studies in North Rhine Westphalia


The project aims were:

To evaluate the exposure and the health outcome of children living close to industrial sources.

To investigate whether improvement in air quality is accompanied by health improvements.

To investigate the distribution of environmental exposures in preschool children, stratified by different indicators of Socio-economic Status (SES), and to examine the role SES on the associations between environmental exposures and health outcomes (phase Ib).
