Laboratory quality control practices for drinking water testing

Title of the project: ISO 17025 laboratory quality control practices and ISO microbiological analytical standard methods for drinking water testing


The objective was to provide training in modern methods of quality control and quality assurance for laboratories using international standards (ISO),and to examine the microbiological parameters currently in use for the assessment of the quality of drinking water. Training took place in the Institute Pasteur de Lille (France). Participants were taught 9 ISO methods for the microbiological analysis of water, together with methods on the control and management of the quality of laboratory performance. Overall, 500 microbiological tests of water were carried out.
