"Towards transborder health programmes: results and prospects"


The project "Towards transborder health programmes" , carried out within the framework of Interreg III, is coming to an end and the moment has come to review what has been achieved.

Since 2002, the European programme Interreg III has supported actions which aim at creating relationships between operators from both sides of the French-Belgian border.

The project includes the provinces of Hainaut, Namur and Luxemburg in the Walloon region, the West Flanders and the North, the Aisne and the Ardennes in France.

The seminar is intended for NGOs and healthcare professionals. According to the draft agenda, the first day will provide a global picture of the situation in France and Belgium, comparing the differences and presenting the similarities. The second day will be dedicated to:

- The outcome of the epidemioloqic investigation

- A review of the actions on health

- Discussions on best practices and experiences on the health of children
