Industry Scientific Report on Children’s Health

ECETOC an industry funded scientific group whose aim is to act as an independent, credible, peer-reviewed technical resource to all concerned with identification of research needs and provision of scientific rationale for the assessments of health effects and environmental impact and thereby to justify industry’s license and freedom to operate.

ECETOC have published a Technical Report 96 on "Trends in Children’s Health and the Role of Chemicals: State of the Science Review"

Although the conclusions have been considered by the WHO to be misleading, as pointed out in a BBC article earlier this year, there are recommendations for further research particularly on Biomarkers that have some merit.

The report can be found at ECETOC webpage.
