International conference: “100 years of child protection, recommendations for the future”, Amsterdam, (November 28-30th)

An international conference took place in Amsterdam (“free university”) on November 28-30th, organized by the Dutch ministry of justice. It took a legislative perspective on children’s protection at the Dutch national level but also at the international level, looking at the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The aim of the conference was to bring up new ideas and principles, new perspectives and recommendations on good practices internationally.

The first intervention on the 28th was a speech by Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe. She presented the Council’s campaign for children: “Building a Europe for and with Children”.
